From June 23 to 28, the 2026 CMAS Finswimming World Championships were held in Incheon, Republic of Korea. Guan Hanzhi, a 2023 undergraduate majoring in Sports Training at Guangxi University (GXU), competed as a member of the Chinese national team and delivered an outstanding performance.

Guan won gold medals in the men's 400m surface and men's 200m immersion events, while also breaking the Asian record in the men's 200m immersion. In addition, he claimed a silver medal in the men's 100m immersion, finished fourth in the men's 4×200m finswimming relay, sixth in the men's 4×50m finswimming relay, and seventh in the men's 4×100m finswimming relay.

It is reported that the championships are the highest-level international competition in finswimming, bringing together more than 400 elite underwater racing athletes from 38 countries and regions to compete on the world stage.
